My name is Chelsie Weeding and this is my second year teaching 1st grade at Century Elementary School in Park Rapids, MN. I am very thankful to be teaching in such a supportive school district and community. I am looking forward to another GREAT school year!
Here are some facts about me:
1. I grew up in Thief River Falls, MN where I was very involved with sports, choir and church activities. I graduated high school in 2009.
2. I went to UND (Go SIOUX!) for 2 years before transferring toMinnesota State University Moorhead where I earned a
degree in Elementary Inclusive Education.
3. One of my most favorite hobbies is running. I love it! I have ran a full marathon, many half marathons, 10k's and 5k's. I enjoy running in different races and am currently training for another half marathon. I also LOVE to read. One of my all time favorite books is Charlotte's Web and I also love any Dr. Seuss book.
4. Working with children has always been a dream of mine and I feel very fortunate to work with your child on a daily basis. I was meant to be a teacher and I can't imagine doing anything else. Teaching is my passion and I am beyond blessed to get to do so every single day! Who wouldn't LOVE coming to work every day and spending time with 23 students learning and having fun?!
5. I love spending time with my family and friends as much as possible. I am lucky to have some pretty great people in my life!
6. If it isn't obvious enough, pink is my favorite color. I am a lover of flowers, kayaking, coffee, anything chocolate and most importantly- ice cream!! YUM! I enjoy spending a majority of my time outside...especially when it's sunny. I love, LOVE taking road trips and traveling any chance I get.
