Happy 50th day of school! I can't even begin to explain how fast the time has flown by. More importantly, I can't begin to explain how incredibly PROUD I am of these students of mine. They have worked extremely hard, grown and succeeded SO much since the first day of school. First grade is not an easy transition for all students, but these kiddos have done a fabulous job of it! I think back to the first week of school and I am amazed at the progress that has been made. Ah...Proud teacher for sure! I may be biased, but I teach the BEST group of First Graders around.
SO...with that being said...In true first grade fashion, a day as important as the 50th day isn't complete unless we have a celebration!! So, celebrating we did! I mean...look how CUTE they are! ;)
The first grade teachers got in on the fun too!
Our 50th day was filled with games, reading and math activities and FUN! We danced a little (the jive AND the sock hop...the kids thought this was hilarious ;)), hula hooped a little, blew a few bubbles, and ended the day by going to our very own Drive-In movie theater!
We have LOVED every minute of the first 50 days of school and we can't wait for the next 50!Thanks for sharing your children with me...I feel SO lucky! :)
