This time of year, as I sit in my classroom and look out at the empty desks that will soon be filled with 21 little humans, I feel an unbelievable amount of excitement as I begin to think about: the smiling faces I'm about to see daily, the friendships that are going to be developed, the learning that is going to take place and the FUN we are going to have! I have spent hours organizing every inch of our room, planning fun hands on activities, writing detailed lesson plans and thinking about everything this year has in store for us...and I can't wait!!!
Students: I want to tell you that I am SO excited to be your teacher. I can’t wait to learn and grow alongside you and most importantly I can’t wait to watch you grow and succeed! First grade is such a fun grade for so many reasons and so much progress is made! Please know I am your biggest fan and I want to see you succeed! ALWAYS ask for help when you need it- that's why I am here! :)
Parents: as a new member of our “family” I want to welcome you and tell you that I am truly blessed to have been given the opportunity to be your child’s teacher. I can’t wait to make this the best year possible for your child. Please know I am here to help and I am always available to answer any questions you may have. With that being said...our classroom is ready and patiently waiting for 21 awesome students to walk in the door!
